(User Info | Send a Message | Journal) http://www.livejournal.com/users/xinawp/ | Since I voted for 'promoting MB to the general public' I started thinking of things the site could add to appeal to the audience, or "michiganfans" if you will. Here's a few ideas I threw around:
Give them a way to find out what they want to know about the bands on here; have a featured band every week or month, and have fans submit interview questions to find out the things that they really want to know.
Have a weekly trivia question, dealing with local music or general music knowledge, and give away a grab bag of local band "swag" (CDs stickers, t-shirts, ect.)
Have a spot where they can submit photos and have a featured photo, maybe a contest...something like that...
I know these can apply to us too, but I think the non-band-member members of the site might like it...
