Ringo Starr & His All Star Band
by: Mitch

Took my daughter to her first non-local concert at DTE last night to see Ringo Starr. She's a Beatle freak (and I had nothing to do with it - so proud) and was thrilled when Ringo sang "Act Naturally". His all-star band included Edgar Winter (who performed Free Ride, Frankenstein & Angel), Sheila E , Billy Squier (who did NOT play "Stoke Me") Richard Marx, Hamish Stuart (the guitarist and falsetto voice of the Average White Band -who was playing bass and wearing a shirt that read, "Michgan Dad" - not sure what that meant), and Ron Argent of Zombie and Argent fame who played "she's not there" and "Hold Your Head Up" and who totally JAMMED on keys!!! He was awesome. Ringo was selling autographed lithographs starting at $500 - too poor for that. Cute, colorful - very Ringo. Bought my daughter a concert tee for $35 and we called it a night.
