| MB Welcomes Lonesome Country |

If anyone had told me back in the day that Bill Arnold would be a crack dobro player for a bluegrass band in the future, I'd ask you what you were smoking and where I could get some. Bill was one of those cats who wood-shedded for weeks at a time until he emerged victorious from his bedroom, having mastered the guitar lead from some rock or metal band we all admired. The cat had tenacity and demanded perfection from himself. Decades later, having become re-acquainted with my past through Facebook, there's Bill, tearing up the dobro in a great bluegrass band called Lonesome Country. Their calendar seems a bit out of date on the webpage, so look 'em up on Facebook or YouTube and check 'em out. - Mitch

| New Flipping The Pig album, Just This Shy Of Happy now available |
fthep writes The first new Flipping the Pig album in over 3 years, Just This Shy of Happy, is now available on iTunes, Amazon, and all other digital services.
The studio madman behind this grab bag of 15 songs has been compared to many varied acts, inlcuding Ween, Pink Floyd, Harry Nilsson, Randy Newman, David Bowie, Beck, and The Pixies, among others. In general, he's not the easiest musician to pin down, though there is definitely a sound. As stated in a previous review, the songs are like different characters, but all part of the same play.
