Just curious, because I love listening to my creations after the final product.

I listen to my stuff quite often actually. Probably because I have it on my hard drive ..haha

I poured a lot of myself into my original cuts I did back in 2003, since I did practically everything myself. This can get extremely obsessive and meticulous, and it was my case that when I finally reached that point of being decently satisfied with the final, working with it so much, I was sorta tired of the stuff, to be honest, and preferred to put some distance between afterward. I seldom listen to that stuff now...

When I do listen to the stuff I did back in 2003, I cringe at some of the choices I made back then, now. As an artist, you learn more and grow and evolve, but the recordings stay just as they were then; It's an unchanging old photograph, like that... It's this complex, mixed thing of being proud in some ways, yet embarrassed in other ways... It's hard to explain...

I go through long long periods of not listening to my band's old material. We've made 5 CD's and released 3 of them. Every once in awhile I will stumble across some of our older material and find myself being surprise on how much I still like it. Sure, I will find things that I would change now, but I try to put my head back to where it was when we recording the songs...sometimes it was happier times and sometimes not so happy...all in all, I still enjoy the material.
