I always loved this band's sound! .. I think they had the "60's" dream sound. The singer's voice is so cool, the band is super tight, and the songs are really great too. These guys really had their stuff together.

Do you like them too, or not? Question

Awesome. This one isn't as good in sound quality but it's always been one of my favorites. Is that Kenny Rogers doing the intro?

Love the Guess who, with Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings! I was just messing around with the song "Laughing" a few nights ago. Makes for a "groovy" nostalgia rush of hippies, Nixon and Laugh-In!...

I was reminded of Badfinger the other day working on an unplugged arrangement of a glam band song called "Ballroom Blitz" (by another band), from about the same era... This McCartney-produced, Liverpool-origin band seemed to be a quick remedy for those in the early 70's that were pining the break-up of The Beatles. It was always hard to tell if the close imitation was intentional or unintentional, here. But even if it was a follow mentality, The Beatles had proven elementally good musical and song-writing ideas, and you'd be hard-pressed to find someone better to imitate, so what's so wrong about that?...

Wasn't "Ballroom Blitz" done by Sweet? I used to play that one in the bars.

Mitch, if you actually remember Sweet, you're OLD!...

The unplugged arrangement I'm working on, surprisingly, is working out pretty well! But my "Ooooh, Yeeeah!" at the end of the verses going into the climb sorta sounds like a sick Howard Dean...

Solo Acoustic Secret To Singing Ballroom Blitz: hide a baseball between your legs and squeeze your knees together when appropriate. Laughing

You HAVE to record this one for us!

Ok, so Krokus did do a version of Sweet's tune. Here's both.

Man, that version this song from Krokus was, well, FORGETTABLE!....

I actually saw them on their way up, opening up for Molly Hatchet on their way down. You could probably guess the approximate year...
