What was your take on the commercial that Doritos ran during the Superbowl last night?
I didn't think the song was very strong. After the commercial ran I waited 1/2 hr and asked my daughter (19 yrs old) if she remembered the title of the song and she couldn't recall it. All she could remember is "heart something".
I also have to say that the hype leading up to this was pretty ambiguous. The commercials were so dull that I didn't even know there was a contest going on.
Knowing that Superbowl ads can cost millions a minute I was very impressed that they used some of their time to feature an indie artist. If they do it again next year we will have to make sure that one of the artists from Michigan is represented. I may be biased, but I've heard a lot of music come out of this state that would be more memorable than "heart something".
