I got to reading that article Wiki found at UnsprungMedia.com and it led to another article about "Fat Packages" and "Cool Streams" and how music is and may be distributed in the future. Fascinating stuff.
It could ultimately be easier for the indie artist to function in the world once they've jumped through the necessary hoops to produce their "package". Then they simply upload it into the worldwide stream and find out beyond a doubt whether or not their music hits based on its relevancy and popularity.
What do you think about this distribution model?
Personally, I think people get bored too quickly to make such a major investment in their favorite band - he wrote perhaps five times the amount the cost of a CD - so, about seventy bucks I'd imagine if you wanted the ad-free model.
Would you pay that to have constant multi-media updates from your favorite band?
