Michigan Bands Music and Entertainers FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Category: Main -> How do I submit a Letter to the Editor?
| Answer | | · How do I submit a letter to the editor? Okay. So you need a place to vent your frustrations about the music scene. Well, this is the place..
You can spout off about anything you want here; stories, bands, venues, whatever. But, in keeping with general newspaper policies, you will not be allowed to do it anonymously. You must first become a Michiganbands.com member. As with all other submissions, anonymous letters to the editor will be discarded - no matter how compelling.
- Once you've become a member, login to the site and click on "Submit News" on the Home page under the Main Menu in the upper left hand corner.
- Use the drop down menu to select "Opinion".
- Type or paste your letter into the Story Text field. When you're done, click thePreview button at the bottom. This wll take you to another page that shows you the layout of your letter first, and below that allows you to edit the letter if you like.
- If everything looks good, choose "submit" from the dropdown menu and click the "OK" button. That's it. If you have any further questions, check out our FAQ for submitting news.
- You don't have to sign your real name if you don't want to; your screen name wil automatically be attached to the story.

| | · Why should I care about local music? Local artists keep the local economy humming as well as adding to the cultural health of our state which attracts investment from those who want to live and do business here. The money you invest in local art, be it music or otherwise, goes directly back into our state's economy and snowballs to increase interest and opportunities in our state. Don't believe me? Check out Governor Granholm's "Cool Cities" initiative. [ Back to Top ]
