The Despicable Mikey Moe and The Insatiable Tommy Hawk started this nonsense in 1978. The twin brothers with different mothers were born to entertain. Probally the best description someone bestowed on these lunatics was the infamous line of "These Boys Aint Right".
After starting as a duo, these two figured it was going to be just a one shot performance. Boy were they wrong. The debut shows were so much fun that Mikey & Tommy decided to expand the brotherhood. Brought in to fill the lineup were Studebaker Hawk, and the late T-Dog Hawk. A few shows with this lineup and Strat O'Hawk came on board. T-Dog had to leave for various reasons, though he did continue to help out when the Mohawks were in a bind.
Strat O'Hawk then left and Phineas T Hawk (who some insist was really John Candy) & Brian Bow-Wow Hawk joined the Hawk family. After one show, Bow-Wow left and Frenchy came on board.
Along with Reverend Robert T. Zona - "Hoodlum Priest" as m.c. this lineup was pretty much set. Bobby Blo-Hawk would sit in with his stellar saxophone playing when his schedule was open. Son O Sam Hawk sat in for a show or two, and Jimmy Crash Hawk filled in for a set of shows when Studebaker was unable to perform. Kitty Hawk joined up for a set of shows as backup vocals. Tommy Hawk left in late 1981. Band continued for awhile with Mikey, Phineas, Frenchy & Studebaker.

The Hawks had the best crew in the business, so thanks go out to the late Sandoz Hawk & Carl Hawk.
