Six Syllable Sin Description: “Somewhere along the way we became a band” bassist Bruce Cook said during a Six Syllable Sin rehearsal break in mid December of 2007. No one in the band can say exactly when that happened but it did somewhere between late July of 2007, when the band first got together and December of 2007.
Six Syllable sin is a three-piece rock band rooted in the backcountry of small town mid Michigan with Scott Schmitt on guitars and vocals, Bruce Cook on bass and vocals and Jeff Smith on the drums. All are veteran musicians that have been in many local area bands over the years until they came together in 2007 to form Six Syllable Sin. Their music is edgy, melodic and memorable.

The Dardanelles Description: The Dardanelles potentially existed when S. Ellison and B. Thomas met in a bar. Then there was C. Csont. He said that he played bass and he did. There was another drummer, but he vanished. Then there was another, who drowned. Haley forms auxiliary ranks but must now telecommute from the NYC. She knew S. Ellison beforehand, and met B. Thomas during other people's music. Now there is an accordion, but it doesn't get much play. S. Schaefer has now joined the ranks along with her fishtibuns. There are six of them now and many songs, because of music. There is intonation, dissonance and mellifuousness. There are also a great many allergies--far too many, but some are improving. They play in a basement and sleep in their own lodgings. Individually, most of them have attributes. Added on: 02-Jun-2006 Hits: 224 Rating: 8 (1 Vote) Rate this Site | Report Broken Link | Details

Brown City Bandits Description: Every now and again a being is created which has the audacity and ascendancy to haunt those around its presence. The world which these two young men have tapped into contains such a being. This monster, if you will, has burst onto the local music scene as of late, shocking it's listeners. Compared to great established artists such as Goblin, Explosions in the Sky, Cradle of Filth, and many others - not many can get an solid idea as to what to label this creation. The persons who have experienced Brown City Bandits either are indifferent to it or quickly fall in love with the strange and atmospheric sounds. One thing is for sure, this music appeals to an older/mature crowd which is intriguing considering the young age of the two members.
