Whitey Morgan and the 78's Description: New Album "HONKY TONKS AND CHEAP MOTELS" Available for Download on ITunes AUGUST 5
Album official release date - SEPTEMBER 23, 2008
The roots of country music are despair, pain, sorrow and anguish expressed through song. Drinking, prison, hitting the road, loving and leaving women - these are the classic themes in country. There are no flip-flops in country music. There is no Margaritaville or sandy beaches to the Outlaws.
There is Whitey Morgan.
Whitey Morgan hails from Flint, Michigan. That's nowhere near Nashvegas. The factories are closed, jobs are scarce and the people are bitter. Whitey sings songs these people can relate to. In the spirit of Waylon, Merle and Willie; Whitey's melodies help people forget their problems for a few hours and serve as the guideline for drinking sorrows away. The halftime groove brings out everyone's dancing shoes and while Whitey plays, the world is a better place.
This has not gone unnoticed outside of Flint, as Whitey Morgan has shared the stage with Shooter Jennings, David Alan Coe, Hank Williams III, Richie Albright and Leon Russell. The acclaim for his voice and style has been universal and resounding.
As new country dominates the airwaves, Whitey Morgan continues to build a following as a counterpoint. The fad of pop-country music will fade, as all fads do. Roots music will always be present, from blues to rock to the outlaw country that Whitey exudes from his soul. As Richie Albright implored him to "Keep it Alive", we can trust that the roots of country music are in good hands - the hands of Whitey Morgan.
Current Members:
Whitey Morgan - Vocals, Guitar
"Leroy" Biltz - Lead Guitar
Benny James - Guitar
Jeremy Mackinder - Bass
"Pops" Popovich - Drums

CURTICE/MARKLEY & Motown Station Description: These two have not seen each others eyes since they were very young. Once reunited, through My Space initially, they were able to form a very strong bond, musically. Even though they took very different paths in terms of influences and politics, what they create when they are together in the same room amounts to more than the sum of their roles as Curtice and Markley.
We strive to help humanity as much as they can with their music and (someday) the money they will make from performances, sales and merchandise. Of course, as is the norm these days, they are always in contact with their audiences in one form or another, on a daily basis. Curtice Markley have recently discovered the abilities of Motown Station. Made of Jon LeFerier on Rhythm and Second Lead Guitar, Skip Simons on Bass, and Mike Walkowski on Drumkit, Messers Curtice and Markley are On The Brink of something big.
