National Ghost was formed in 2006 by local filmmaker Jim Bonner as a songwriter's/music maker's collective of sorts, comprised of members from various prominent Detroit acts. The idea was to throw these musicians in a room, most of whom had never met each other, and see what came out. Within a few months the line up solidified and National Ghost was born.

Their music is eclectic and original; rich vocal harmonies rounded out by well-thought arrangements, and top notch instrumentation. Careful and well executed, yet open and boundless at times, the band strives to forge new ground with nods to the elders as well. Each musician brings their unique background and ideas into the fold. They write about everything; conspiratorial reptiles, loving tributes to both heroes and foes, and ice cream. They bring ambitious, unfettered enthusiasm to each song they play as their set smoothly glides from melodic rock to sonic groove and beyond.

Paris Blue

Paris Blue has been in existence since 1990. The bands credits include performing several hundred shows throughout the Midwest in thirteen different U.S. states as well as opening for many national acts including Extreme, .38 Special, Blue Oyster Cult, Joan Jett, Flotsam and Jetsam and many others.

The band has been honing it's collective songwriting skills since its debut release "Mistreater" in 1993. The 2000 release, “Stand My Ground”, was a tribute to the roots of Paris Blue. A true “80’s feel” rock album that celebrated the good times of rock-n-roll. During the “in-between years” (1994-1999), Paris Blue spent most of its time “on the road” polishing its live act.

With its current project, Paris Blue has made a giant step forward into the new millenium. With a cutting edge sound, the latest Paris Blue release, “Somewhere In The Middle” undoubtedly impresses anyone who listens. The combination of hard-edged rockers, bluesy riffs, and great melodies will, most certainly, be well accepted by the masses.

Penumbrae
Description: Formed in 2002, Penumbrae have built a collection of unique original songs ranging from folk to pop, rock to bluegrass. Influenced by the likes of Blind Melon, Tori Amos, Patty Larkin, REM, Ani DiFranco and many others, Penumbrae's niche relies on stellar songwriting, spectacular vocals and musicianship. In the short time they've been together, Penumbrae have performed at Xhedos Cafe in Ferndale, Karl's Cabin in Plymouth and Le Jive Music Cafe in Wyandotte to name a few. They are also regularly featured and have performed live on the Acoustic Alternatives show on WHFR 89.3FM in Dearborn.
