| BLIND SHAME releases debut CD, prepares for CD Release Party |

blindshame2003 writes  BLIND SHAME is gearing up for the release of their debut CD titled “All N Compass”, and their CD Release Party at The Magic Bag in Ferndale, on Saturday June 5th. Opening the show will be

Mixxle Plix.
The band has been extremely busy the last several months, with finishing their CD and playing a full slate of shows. “We have been playing a lot of road trips, and hitting a lot of college towns,” said drummer Barb Teeter. The band started 2004 with a bang, playing to a packed house at Alvin’s in Detroit. The band also had their show professionally filmed that night for use in a future DVD, as well as footage in a commercial for their upcoming CD Release Party.Over the last 5 months, the band has made its way to Traverse City, Saginaw, Ann Arbor (performing with good friend & cousin,
Sista Otis at The Blind Pig), Hamtramck, Mt. Pleasant, E. Lansing, Ypsilanti, Bowling Green, and Toledo, OH.
Vocalist Shane Douglas & Guitarist Jay Arnold also flew to New York City last October for the annual College Music Journal (CMJ) festival. The annual event hosts hundreds of bands from all over the world. “It was a lot of hard work, but we are starting to see some results from being on the go from eight in the morning until two in the morning. We are excited about pursuing the contacts we made to the next level, including talking at great length with Mike Martinovich manager of My Morning Jacket and Good Charlotte” said Douglas.
