F-Stop Volunteer for EMU Final Exams
F-Stop have volunteered to be lab-rats for Eastern Michigan University's "Audio Recording Techniques" semester final exam. The band was approached by student Amanda Habetz (close friend to F-Stop bassist Chris Bryant) to help out her class by allowing three groups of students to record three different songs by the band. Click "Read More" below.

"It's just a little favor for a class that helps us out too, " wrote F-Stop singer/guitarist Tim Bryant in a recent e-mail. "Each group will have to set up mics, record and mix an entire song. We got lucky enough to be the lab rats."

F-Stop have chosen to record two as-yet-unreleased originals ("Through The Years" and "Superhero") and one cover song that shall, for now, remain undisclosed. But the band plans to have all three recordings available when finished.

"I don't know how they're going to turn out," wrote Bryant. "but we're going to either make them availble for free on our site or some other site and burn them to CD's to give away at shows. We're giving it away since it's free to us"

The EMU favor/project comes at a time when F-Stop is promoting their debut effort "All in Love is Fair". The band spent 'seven grueling months' in the studio with famed producer Michael Lutz (South Normal, Radiocraft, Ted Nugent, Brownsville Station) without ever having played a show together. But their hard work began to pay off immediately when the band sold three-hundred copies of "All In Love Is Fair" during the first week after its release in September of 2003.

F-Stop will be appearing live at The Bullfrog in Redford for the Michiganbands.com "Frog-a-Palooza" fundraiser on Friday, March 12th.
