Tripper back at Arts, Beats & Eats for 4th year
FERNDALE, Mich. – Modern rockers, Tripper return to the Chrysler Arts, Beats & Eats festival (www.artsbeatseats.com) on Aug. 31 at 3:00 p.m. on the Miller Lite Stage. The show marks the fourth consecutive year that the band has performed at the festival.

Giving the band some added spark this year is the release of Buzzlighter, a compilation CD released by Shut-Eye Records of Atlanta, Ga., which features Tripper’s single “Clearly Mistaken” – the opening track of the band’s latest release Yesterday, Friday & Today.

“This is one of our favorite shows every year,” said Tripper guitarist and co-founding member, Steve Marvicsin. “There is an excellent fan base, it’s a well-run show and we always have a great time, Arts, Beats & Eats has become a long-standing tradition in this area and we’re glad to be a part of it.”
The show coincides with the release of the Buzzlighter Compilation CD from Shut-Eye Records (Atlanta, GA) featuring Tripper’s “Clearly Mistaken” Single.   The Buzzlighter compilation will be distributed to college and independent radio, as well as film and television production houses in an effort gain exposure for the bands involved.

Additional upcoming shows include:
August 27 – Memphis Smoke – Royal Oak, MI – 9 p.m.
September 12-13 – City Park Grill – Petoskey, MI
September 27 – The Magic Bag – Ferndale, MI
October 9 - Memphis Smoke – Royal Oak, MI – 9 p.m.
October 24-25 – Union Street Station – Traverse City, MI

Tripper was formed in April 1999 in Detroit. The bands two releases, Moxie Stick (2000) and Yesterday, Friday & Today (2002) have earned the band more than 20,000 downloads from MP3.com and the title of one of the “Best Unsigned Bands on MP3.com.” Tripper has been featured on 89X and WDVD 96.3 in Detroit and continues to perform throughout the Midwest.
