Greetings Kings and Queens:
The ancient realm of Shakespeare, crumpets, and soccer riots will be conquered by Detroit’s ultra-vixen rocker chicks
BROADZILLA, as they bring destruction and annihilation to the U.K. in August 2003. But you still have a chance to can catch them live for their “cheers and beers’’ send-off gig July 27 at Alvin’s in Detroit.
The folks at Broadzilla Headquarters have been busier than Santa's elves preparing all year for the U.K. Annihilation Tour. After being contacted by some fans and venues in England who demanded to see Broadzilla live, the girls snowballed that offer into two weeks of dates and are currently preparing to hit the
U.K
The girls will kick off their tour in England on Aug. 1, sneaking in a main stage
appearance at the Bull Dog Bash, www.bulldogbash.com
in Warkwickshire on Aug. 8, where they’ll share the stage with the likes of the
Wildhearts and Biohazard. The girls will return to the United States on Aug. 16, flying into New York City for a date at the infamous
CBGB’s Nightclub before returning to Detroit.
“Lady Luck’’ is the latest release from Broadzilla, issued on the groups own imprint, Diamond Star Records. The girls are enjoying its rapid third run and are gearing up for its fourth pressing. The groups debut CD
“Broadzilla vs. the Tramp-O-Lean,’’ quickly sold out of it’s first and only pressing. The girls are three time Detroit Music Award winners, snagging the coveted award trophy for best hard rock/metal act three years in a row at the annual Detroit Music Award ceremony.
Of course, it goes without saying, that none of the girl’s accomplishments have simply been handed to them. All the numerous accolades have been painstakingly earned exclusively through years of hard work, dogged perseverance and an iron will of determination to succeed. All by themselves, this genuine DIY band has managed to not only break down and demolish many formidable barriers, but has also worked aggressively to overcome the all too typical stereotypes rampant throughout the music industry at all levels.
