 Tangerine Trousers' Fabric Is Growing
ttrousers writes TANGERINE TROUSERS, the 'eclectic and sublime' acoustic group from the Detroit area, has just had their latest CD, "Far Above Rubies," named one the the TEN BEST CD'S of 2003 by THE CURRENT Magazine in Ann Arbor, MI, in addition to the CD's 2002 Detroit Music Award nomination for "Oustanding Acoustic/Folk Recording." The group will be showcasing at the Nashville Convention Center in Nashville, TN in February at the 2003 Folk Alliance Conference, and is currently working on the follow-up to "Rubies" with producer/engineer Chris Stamey (Whiskeytown, Ryan Adams, Michael Stipe, Catilin Cary), to be released in sping 2003.

The Trousers had a very successful 2002:

2 headlining shows at THE ARK in Ann Arbor, headlining the Arts, Beats, and Eats festival, the Detroit TasteFest, Hiawatha Music Festival, Blissfest, Muskegon Summer Celebration, and Riverfolk Music Festival, sang backing vocals on Stewart Francke's latest CD, " Wheel of Life", and opened for Liz Larin's CD release party at the Magic Bag for her "Story of O Miz" CD in November. The Trousers' round out the year with two Detroit-area live shows this weekend:

This Sunday's showcase at Memphis Smoke of Royal Oak is chock full o' songwriting stars! The show starts at 8:30 p.m. This is the fifth in a series that features the very best performers in the Detroit Metropolitan area. The first half of the show is done in a round robin format and the second half is comprised of individual two-song sets. Get ready to say, "Honey, will you tape the Sopranos finale for me?"!!!
