Season of Hope available @ Borders
Borders Books and Music has picked up the benefit compilation, "Season of Hope" according to LRL's Inc. organizer, Lynn Moore. The CD features Christmas music performed by several locals, including The Brothers Groove, DC Drive, Thornetta Davis, Robb Roy, Stewart Francke and more. In-store performances are being scheduled at several Borders locations. The performances, some of which may be covered by local radio, will help promote "Seasons Of Hope".   BROUGHT TO YOU BY: LRL, BORDERS BOOKS AND MUSIC, SKIDMORE, INC, KOPYRITE, JOHNSTON LITHOGRAPH, AND CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF MICHIGAN

LRL MISSION STATEMENT-  This year, 12,400 children will be diagnosed with cancer and despite of the technological advances in early detection and treatment, 1/3 of those children will not survive.  Pediatric cancer knows no boundaries and cuts across all social, economic and ethnic differences.  Leukemia, Research, Life, Inc., was formed in 1981 by a diverse group of parents with one thing in common.  Their children had cancer.  Initially their fight was waged against Leukemia, but they quickly realized that funds were dwindling in the areas of all childhood cancer research and therefore expanded their mission.  Over the last 22+ years, LRL has been a leader in funding childhood cancer research at Children's Hospital of Michigan earning and committing well over $2.3 million dollars specifically to research for the diagnoses, prevention, treatment and ultimately the CURE of all childhood cancer.  LRL is unique in that 96 cents of every dollar we earn goes directly to research. Contributions are an investment in the future of children all over the world.  We commit to continue to select only the finest and most promising research projects under the processes established through the Children's Research Center of Michigan and Children's Hospital of Michigan in honor of the generosity of our supporters.  For more information or to learn about personal or business sponsorship opportunities, log onto www.lrlinc.org or call the LRL hotline at 313-884-0931.
