As we all know, Country Music in the Detroit area has had it's ups and downs. This week we are proud to announce that a bar that left the Country Music format is coming back and DetroitCountryMusic.com and it's member bands are happy to be a part of it. The Wooden Nickel Saloon in Ypsilanti was once an anchor for Country Music on the West side of the city. As many clubs did however, they turned to other types of music during the 90's in order to keep up with competition. Wooden Nickel Saloon goes Country on 10/30
The Wooden Nickel Saloon in Ypsilatnti is returning to Country Music this Wed with a Halloween Blowout and Concert with Nashville Recording artist and Monroe's own Chérie.
Wear a costume or come as you are, prizes will be given all night long. Show starts at 9:30pm and we encourage everyone to come out and support the return of country music to the Wooden Nickel.
The Wooden Nickel is located at 901 N Huron River Drive in Ypsilanti. MAP
