 Bubby Jackson Experience
maggieb writes
Bubby Jackson, a 19 year old blues man, transplated to Michigan recently from Maryland, will be headlining a large festival in Delray Beach, FL the first weekend of November. Garlicfest will run Nov 1-3. Headliners include, Bubby Jackson, Jonny Lang and Little Feat.
High Flyin' Bird will also be flyin' down to play a 90 minute set on this festival, as well as Bill Wharton, The Sauce Boss.
Bubby was selected for this event as a up and coming, young guitar slinger, and the festival felt that he could certainly hold his own against their more proven headliners. . .
CLick "Read More" for the skinny on Bubby. , after hearing a sound bite of his off the internet. Some one on their committee had seen Bubby at the Pontiac Arts, Beats and Eats and thought he'd fit as a headliner, he's thrilled to have the opportunity.

One thing leads to another.......Donald Trump owns a mansion in the same area as this festival. His associates heard the news that Bubby would be headling, called their offices, got some more info on Bubby. Called Bubby's management and would like to fly Bubby down in December to play for them, a event that is held there every year. Arrangements are now being made for his flights down.

After leaving home and everything he's known behind, (including the serial sniper running around MD), just two short months ago at the age of 19, Bubby has been working hard and it looks like he's going to be seeing some good results for his efforts. Sometimes you just have to take your faith and dreams, wrap them up carefully in your pocket, and go out there and see what the world has to offer back. We think as a Michigan transplate, he's going to make us proud. In between writing more original material for his next CD, he's gigging alot and teaching guitar lessons to boot. If anyone is interested in taking lessons from Bubby, call The Music Stand in Berkeley, MI and ask for lessons from Bubby or call (517) 548-1780

If you'd like to see what all the hype is about, come out Fri Oct 18th to the Lower Town Grill in Plymouth, Sat Oct 19th to the Coyote Club, Next Fri Oct 25th to The Alley in Dexter, MI on Baker Road and see Bubby for yourself.

There will be a article coming out in Jam Rag in November and Bubby will be one of the younger artists featured in that article.
