 Wrenfields serve up ''Seconds''
The Wrenfields have completed the follow up to their 2001 smash debut that garnered the alt/country group three Detroit Music Awards in April of 2002. The new release, entitled "Seconds", wil be available on or about October 1st 2002 and is currently in duplication. The CD features eleven new tracks including, "Katie Bar The Door" - a patriotic country anthem and the band's heartfelt reaction to the September 11th tragedy.

The Wrenfields have leaned closer to a pure country sound on "Seconds" than on their debut, catering more to the crowd who've embraced the band as their own.

"You've got to know who's endorsed us the most, " said Matt O'Bryan, rhythm guitarist for The Wrenfields. "It's the country community." Over the last year, The Wrenfields have become a favorite on DetroitCountryMusic.com, appeared and performed on W4 Country Radio (102.9) and performed at The Downtown Hoedown and the Farmer Jack Hot Country Jam with national country artist, Darrel Worley. The band will also be appearing at The Midpoint Music Festival in Newport, Kentucky on September 28t, 2002.

To help meet the pace of their impending success, The Wrenfields have secured the legal services of John Kamins & Rod Myers from the prestigious Michigan law firm of Honigman Miller Schwartz & Cohn. According to O'Bryan, the firm will help the band secure copyright and trademark certification as well as shop for label support.

"Seconds" was engineered and produced by Ohio native Tyler Brown at the band's Compound Studios in Dearborn, Mi. Brown also produced The Wrenfields' critically acclaimed debut "21st Centuty Pioneer" as well as music for former Jayhawks co-frontman Mark Olson and his Original Harmony Ridge Creek Dippers. Creek Dippers' drummer, David Wolfenberger adds banjo and mountain dulcimer to tracks on "Seconds".

You can catch The Wrenfields at Memphis Smoke in Royal Oak on Friday September 6th at 9pm.  Get a map to Memphis Smoke.
