If you haven't already heard, Robb Roy took top honors for Week #28
of the Jim Beam Music competition. The Dearborn band narrowly beat runner-up Pete Paladino from Danville, Pennsylvania who led the competition until the very end. According to the Official Rules, Robb Roy will collect a $250 music-related gift certificate for the Week #28 victory. If the band wins the "Band of the Month" for July, they'll get . . .. . . $1,000 in cash. And if manage to win "Band of The Year" theyll collect $10,000 in cash, a chance to participate in Jim Beam's "Road to the Rackhouse" concert in 2003, and an all-expense paid trip to New York where they will perform at the Jim Beam Brands Co. Rock Band Search Final Event.
Robb Roy's manager, Susan Leigh of Select Management, sent out a e-mail to thank everybody who participated: "
We are all very excited about winning this weeks contest with Jim Beam.
It is all because of YOU and spreading the word to all of your friends and families too. Thank you for taking time out of your busy days to vote. It really means a lot to all of us here. It was neck and neck there until the very end.
We are very proud and honored to have so many good people behind the band supporting and believing in them.

The competition, co-sponsored by Rolling Stone, will continue through October 30th when ten finalists will vie for the coveted "Band of The Year."
