 83rd Dream reviewed
Whitman writes

No gimmicks. No mad-hatters. No smoke and mirrors. Just pure, unabashed good music. This is 83rd Dream, a trio of musicians whose sole intent is to dig deep down into their collective creative souls and share their inspirations with whoever happens to enter their aura.
The group is comprised of Jason Seaman (lead vocals, lead guitar), Jim Irimescu (drums) and Scott Hanba (bass). And while their music has been described as a "music revival" (and rightly so), I say look closer and listen longer and you’ll discover it’s a whole lot more.

83rd Dream is a veritable pot pourri of the sounds that have been eked from vinyl and ridden the airwaves and served as anthems of multiple generations for well over a quarter of a century. It blends pop, metal, punk, blues, jazz and (yes) even folk, then adds a heavy measure of good old rock and roll. The result: an eclectic sound not heard around these parts for some time.

The signature of 83rd Dream doesn’t get lost in the clutter. These young men simply deliver (impressively, I might add) what’s on their minds and in their fingertips bravely and without apology.
83rd Dream has added a fresh coat of paint to Detroit’s music scene. Give them a listen and you’re sure to like the view.
