The Detroit Welcome Center is looking for local Detroit area CDs and Swag to sell in their store. Items must be submitted in person at the store by 4 pm Tuesday May 25th to be available for sale for their launch on May 26. They are looking for CDs, t-shirts and other swag from local musicians.

The launch is set for wednesday .. yes this wednesday 26th. Short notice but nowhere near impossible. nothing is impossible. Now some of you may have heard about this .. we will be partnering with local bands to show what our city still and truly has to offer and on a mind numbing musical scale.

If People Don't Know It Exists Then They Just Dont Know It Exists.....

We wanted a place where our community and visitors have a chance to discover the sounds around them, and a place artists felt comfortable and honour in sharing their music. a place that is completely detroit based in its musical merch. and what better place than our welcome center?

Downtown Welcome Center hosted by Inside Detroit a non profit created to educate people about the workablitly livability and playability of our city. showing people positive aspects of our city..archetecture history, urban farms etc.. they also promote area artists by selling their works at the store since the beginning. Inside Detroit wants people to see that we are not dead. and that just like after the great fire of 1805 we will rebuild ourselves, as we have in the past... over and over, stronger and stronger everytime. this time...throughout all of this music

Why I Am In Love With This..

People do not realize at all the full extent of how much talent is actually packed into our area. Detroit has an amazing musician everytime you turn a corner. and not for one moment should they be getting swept under the rug or feeling they have to give up. our downtown welcome center will offer visitors a true sample of what detroit musicians have to offer.. which is? innovation .. passion .. and a true sense of a community, they never give up..are loyal to their city and are story tellers with stories to tell... they need to realize that there are still ears out there that want to hear them, and ears yet that have never had the chance to hear them..

Come check out the store inside the Welcome Center to take a look around if you like .. on board are acts like the cobras, the muggs, half life, noman, i crime, etc .. bring yer stuff to me by tuesday tuesday 4 pm. to be inlcuded in the launch.
