“Ultimate Detroit Party” at The Magic Bag on Dec. 31
 On the Rocks Detroit & Zodiac Vodka in conjunction with Yelp.com present the Ultimate Detroit New Year’s Eve Party “NYE 10” featuring live music by the Howling Diablos, Paper Street Saints, Us Minus Them and Ghosts of August at the Magic Bag on on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009. Doors are at 8 p.m., Advance tickets are $15 ($20 at the door) and ages 21+ are welcome to attend.
Rock party masters the Howling Diablos will ring in the New Year with their nonstop rollicking dance grooves. The funky five piece, with special guest Jimmie Bones of Kid Rock’s Twisted Brown Trucker Band on keys, is known for bringing “the Detroit Party”, and New Year’s Eve has them pulling out all the stops! Promoting their new release “Divine Trash Highway,” the Howling Diablos are “ready to go Susan Boyle on ya for a legendary party you’ll still be talking about next June!” proclaims lead singer Tino Gross.
New Year’s Eve also marks the long-awaited return of the Paper Street Saints. For most of 2009, the popular alternative rock band has been busy recording a full-length release, in addition to pursuing numerous side projects -including a stint at medical school for one member! Fans old and new can expect a riveting arena-worthy rock show, up close and personal at the Magic Bag!
Revving up the party, are hard rockers Ghosts of August, performing tracks from their new EP “The Silver Lined Epidemic,” and Us Minus Them, demonstrating their lively brand of twang infused rock they call “Reggitude.”
With festive party favors, Zodiac Vodka drink specials, cool goodies from Yelp.com and a balloon drop at Midnight, this is one New Year’s Eve Party you won’t want to stop!
