| PBS to Feature Detroit Bands on Rock & Roll Safari |

 If you read Rachael May's column in The Free Press last week, you already know that Detroit Public Television will be airing Rock & Roll Safari, a weekly hour-long show that will feature live concert footage and interviews of Detroit area bands in the coming weeks. The series was created by James McGovern and Greg Sharrow of Can You Hear Me TV who hope to "redefine the method to which breakout musical genius makes its way to the eyes and ears of mainstream entertainment."

Rock & Roll Safari will seek the best independent bands from major cities around the country and will ultimately air the first ever Detroit City Can You Hear Me TV Rock Concert.
The producers are still looking for great live acts around the country with a unique and engaging story. Submissions are being accepted at SonicBids.com and are open to all independent bands in the U.S. and Canada.
Detroit Public TV will air 12 episodes of Rock & Roll Safari, 11 of which will feature Detroit bands. The Muggs kicked the series off on Saturday, Jan 5th at 11:30 pm. Future episodes will feature The Hard Lessons and Hotness. Go to www.dptv.org for show and time information.
