On the trailer for this film, Jon Pereles of the New York Times says, "We're at this ticklish stage right now, where you still have the mega-corporations, you still have the consolidated radio stations, but you also have the beauty of the internet in going around them."

Well, what if you didn't? According to a story on DemocracyNow.org [www.democracynow.org], our wonderful House of Representatives (the cads) have just passed another 11th hour bill that would threaten your ability to compete with the Disneys, the Sony's and the Time-Warners on the Internet.

Right now, the playing field is relatively level. You can have a website, they can have a website. You can sell downloads, they can sell downloads. But what if you didn't have the access you have right now? What if you had to go through them and pay more to get to your audience?

I strongly recommend you listen to/read the above story and contact your congressman or woman and tell them what you think about legislation that's snuck through in the middle of the night. There's speculation that this maybe payback for the NSA access to your personal lives.
