    What is Sonic Disturbance?
    An Electronic Dance Music Production.

The music is a fusion of Techno, Industrial and Hip Hop genres. The live performance by Sonic Disturbance presently consists of back tracks, live keyboards and a light show that is equally as important as the music being played. It’s more than that though, it is an approach where the atmosphere is more important than the performers. It is a belief that it is better to see lots of people up and dancing with their friends than sitting in their chairs watching a band. Don’t get me wrong, if you want to watch fine; but get up and dance, that’s better.

What can someone expect from the show?
Pulsating rhythms, sweeping melodies, layered soundscapes and full compliment of lighting scene changes. Shadows dancing to flickering lights and exploding sounds. Live dance music with a rock and roll attitude. Prepare for lots and lots of fun. Dress to sweat. The performer will be rather anonymous, but the show will be unmistakable. Isn’t that the way it should be?

    What inspired this approach?
Seeing dance music becoming more DJ oriented, seeing live bands becoming more and more serious and feeling that there can be a live performance that mixes different dance music styles in a fun way. It all starts with the beats, but why can’t Techno, Industrial and Hip Hop coexist? It been done before by groups like Altern8 and Orbital and is still being done by Kraftwerk and Crystal Method, but why stop there? Why not add in more elements like P-Funk, Rock and Roll, Trash Disco or whatever else fits the mood?

    What can…?
    No more questions.

Johnny La Rock (Eddie Fleisher) was born in Mentor, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. Music has been his life since he was quite young. He had been in lots of bad bands, and a few good ones too, playing such different styles as prog-emo (Talking Picture), hip-hop (SUNOUD), funk rock (Gaping A's), etc. He finally settled on his solo project, One Day We Die, which began as an acoustic project. It took a change into using drum machines and samplers, but then after a few years grew into a full rock group. After a couple years as a full band, they broke up. La Rock was growing tired of the rock music they were doing, and was interested in trying new things.

He then decided to pursue music using drum machines, samplers, turntables, and other technologies. He began playing out as Johnny La Rock, a name he chose because it mixed two genres together (Johnny, as in Johnny Cash, and La Rock as in T. La Rock). Mixing genres is something that has always been important to him. After only a few shows, he decided to add former ODWD member Aaron Donahoo, who goes by Mush Mouth, to give the "electronic" music a more human feel by playing live bass and rapping. La Rock himself also does vocals along with tweaking the machines.

Johnny has done solo material in the past and likely will again. His main priority, however, is his work with Mush Mouth. He also fronts the "label" La Rock Inc., which is really a support system for his friends and their musical acts. Another way he contributes to the Cleveland experimental scene is by putting together shows, such as "Johnny La Rock's Experimental Nights". La Rock also writes reviews for a Clevo 'zine called Utter Trash, where he tries to bring experimental music to the surface.

Subroc, aka Matt Michaels, started out as the drummer for the biggest Indie Rock/Hip Hop act, One Day We Die. Before the band became the "next big thing", they decided to take a break. Since then, Subroc creates music with obsolete video game systems and computers. He doesn't use games, but rather software that was created specifically to generate music/sounds from the systems. By doing this, Subroc hopes to blur peoples perception of what music is and can be, as well as to push experimental music in Cleveland with the help of long time friend and label mate Johnny La Rock (La Rock Inc.),
