 Michiganbands.com Welcomes Rusty Wright Blues
Michiganbands.com would like to welcome "Rusty Wright Blues" (RWB) to our list of local band links. Hailing from Flint Michigan, RWB play a mix of original contemporary blues-rock numbers from their forthcoming debut (late-summer '05) and blues covers from artists they admire. RWB opened for Lynard Skynard last year in Clio, reportedly earning praise from both Medlocke and VanZandt, and snared former Godsmack drummer Tommy Stewart for a cameo on their debut. Click "read more" below.

Rusty Wright's music has been featured in films "P.I.Blues" (Miami Ent. 2002) and "Shattered Faith" (Fifth Sun Films, 2001) and television productions for both ESPN and TNT. This friday (6-24-o5), RWB will appear LIVE on the WDIV's morning show (CH4) from 7-9 a.m. So set your TiVo or VCR accordingly if you're a working fool.

And to keep the love and money local, Rusty Wright and Wife Laurie LaCross-Wright play custum guitars and amplifiers from Warren, MI's own Reverend Guitars. Check for a link at RWB's website.

RWB's line-up is : Rusty Wright on lead guitar and vocals, wife Laurie LaCross-Wright on rhythm guitar and vocals, Steven Himes on Keyboards and vocals, John King on bass guitar and Jeff Park on drums. The band performs as a full-on, five piece blues ensemble or a simple duo featuring Rusty and wife Laurie, depending on the needs of the gig.

Great guitar player but definently white. 1990 calling??? Songs are good but the recording has the cheese factor that makes it sound like pro tools. Would really like to hear him slow down and take his time with a song and ditch the Wanker White guy approach to the blues. Meedely meedely meedely meeee!!!!!!
