TERRY LEE BOLTON KICKS ASS IN HOLLYWOOD!!!
shotgunbolton writes "Terry Lee Bolton rocks his ass off at NAMM 2005 in Anaheim California!!! This show was off the hook. I played 4 shows a day for two different companies, Fernanades Guitars and Pintech Electronic Percussion, as well as appearances at a dozen different company booths!!!

It was awesome meeting Stevie Wonder, Carlos Santana, Kerry King, Steven Siegal, Steve Vie and a huge host of other great artist and to be able to play and be seen by 50,000 people a day for 4 days in a row, man what a workout!!! You can see all the new photos at www.terryleebolton.com.The photo shoot I did for Levy's Leathers in Hollywood was a rush, we shot with one of Hollywood's best photographers "Alisha" and the photos will be in Guitar World and Guitar Player Magazine this spring and will be in trade publications all over the world for the next 3 years!!!

I'd like to send a special thanks to my friends at Taye Drums, Sabian Cymbals, Rocktron Amps, Dean Markley Strings, Pintech Electronic Percussion, Fernandes Guitars, Regal Tip Sticks, Hiwatt Amps and thanks to all the fans for comin' out and hangin' with me, you rock!!!"

Please, everybody, stop this madness!!! No more attention to this Nashville musician. Any posting in the future please show the will power to resist bashing on him. Show him how many reads and comments he gets when the four of us don't check it on a daily basis. Then we'll see what "great" publicity he gets. This is a call for Michigan musicians to stand up and fight for MichiganBands.com

HI EVERYBODY IT'S YOUR FRIENDLY TERRY LEE BOLTON HERE!!! I MUST SAY I WAS A BIT SURPRISED TO SEE ALL OF THE POSTINGS GONE FROM THIS SITE BUT I WILL SAY THAT THE WEBSITE OWNERS HAVE THE SOLE RIGHT TO DO AS THEY SEE FIT!!! I DID NOT ENJOY IN ANY WAY SOME OF THE COMMENTS POSTED ABOUT ME AND MY CAREER HERE ON THIS AWESOME SITE, BUT I WAS AMUSED IN A SMALL WAY BY THE AMOUNT OF TIME THAT YOU HAD GIVIN ME AND MY CAREER!!! I KNOW IT'S HARD FOR PEOPLE TO GRIP CHANGE AND NOT ALL ARTISTS A PREPAIRED TO PUT ON A VINYL SUIT AND GO OUT AND ROCK BUT I HAVE AND IT IS WORKING FOR ME IN A BIGGER WAY THAN I HAD EVER IMAGINED AND FOR THAT I AM THANKFUL!!! THE POSTING OF INFORMATION THAT REVEALS A PERSONS PERSONAL INFORMATION IS COMPLETELY UNCALLED FOR AND BORDERS ON STALKING, THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH POSTING YOUR THOUGHTS AND LIKES AND DISLIKES ABOUT SOMEONE OR THEIR MUSIC OR BAND AND IT SHOULD STOP OR BE STOPED AND I'M SURE IT WILL BE SOON!!! I LOVE THE FACT THAT PEOPLE ARE NOT AFRAID TO VOICE THEIR OPINION BUT THEY ALWAYS SEEM TO DO IT IN A WAY AS TO KNOCK PEOPLE DOWN!!! YOUR BAND MIGHT SUCK OR YOUR MUSIC MIGHT SUCK OR YOUR CLOTHES MIGHT SUCK BUT WHO CARES, KEEP IT TO YOURSELVES, IF YOU CAN'T SAY ANYTHING NICE THAN DON'T OPEN YOUR MOUTH, KEEP IT SHUT SO AS NOT TO MAKE A EVEN BIGGER ASSES OF YOUR SELVES!!! Geee, I guess there is something wrong with this site.... my post disappeared that I put up in reply to Ricks comment on deleting post with TLB's "personal info". I’m sure this is a mistake. I would hate to know that this site was “selective” when it came to peoples opinions. That’s ok, I saved my post:

"That info is public.... he gave his permission when he registered the domain. You should know this being a webmaster yourself Rick.

On another note, that info wasn't on but 3 or 4 comments.... 97 were deleted. Is this a case where only BS butt kissing comments are allowed but any and all negative comments will be deleted?

What does that say about Detroit? What does it say about true public opinions? They aren't allowed? Detroit is all about kissing butt but not about real public opinion? And don't kid yourself..... all this was real public opinion.
I get good and bad comments about myself and about my music where ever I go. I don't cry about it, I don't try to censor it..... it is the opinion of the public and deleting won't change any of it.

This guy has on his website that he is "Featured on MB.COM" like you thought he was just the shit and just had to write an article about him. You and I and everyone else that comes here knows that isn't so..... people submit the articles and you approve them. He isn't featured - he's blabbing. He's a superstar at being obnoxious and egotistical - and stupid to boot."

Terry, I have voiced my opinion yes. I have not put down your music. I, in fact, have never listened to your music. You have given me no reason to go to your website and check it out.
Which was one of my original points about your article. It has no content. The others are right in the fact that you should have someone else post your articles for you, especially if you have had the success you claim. Some of us artists are unable to have professionals do it for us because we lack the funds. Some of us work very hard at our music and our career. Being active on websites is part of that work. When you see your story get knocked off the page for a posting that has very little content, you get frustrated. If you are such a big dog, how come you're still on the porch with all us little dogs? Shouldn't you be working hard on getting real press?

Just because I have voiced my opinion doesn't mean all I do is sit behind this computer and criticize other musicians. I was unaware of the criteria for the site. I didn't realize all you had to have was a Michigan connection. I don't agree with that, but I don't run the site. The only thing I can deduce since my reply to Rick was not posted is that you two are good friends. I think it is unfortunate that the criteria for this site isn't partially determined by the majority who frequent the site. I'm going to start my own site called sixdegreesofseperationofmichiganbands.com
Power to the People.

HELLO OHIO!!! TLB.

Bolton feels push to succeed

By EMILY HOIS

Staff Writer

Describing his sound as Motley Crüe meets Lynyrd Skynyrd, a former Fostoria resident and aspiring musician chased his dream 447 miles south.

The journey led Terry Lee Bolton to Nashville, Tenn.

Though he only lived in Fostoria from 1984 to 1985, Bolton said his musical group, "The Push Band," played regularly at the Cuckoo's Nest and was one of the town's most popular local rock groups.

"We used to line them up out the door, into the apartment complex and down the street," Bolton recalled.

"The people there just loved it to death "¦ even the producer of the club produced our first full-length album."

Ron Hansen was the club owner's name.

Recorded in 1985, the band's first and only album, "Push 'til-it-hurtz" was recorded at Moseka Studios.

Bolton, 40, said the studio was down the street from Dell's Diner, where he "loved to eat open-faced ham sandwiches smothered in white bean soup."

"Everyone was so damn nice to us, and we were just longhairs, man," Bolton said during a phone interview from Nashville.

He declined to name his former bandmates, stating only that they fell victim to the party lifestyle which contributed to the band's demise several years after recording their debut album.

"I spent 15 years getting The Push Band off the ground," he said. "We had three years of great success" before Bolton, the band's drummer, went solo.

A Detroit native, the musician returned to his home city and found that his preferred style of music -- country rock -- was fading out.

"There were a lot of Metallica clones," he remembered, as the grunge era prevailed. "People would say, 'why are you wearing those crazy clothes and playing this twangy music?'"

As he watched drugs and alcohol form a blockade between aspiring musicians and their dreams, Bolton made a personal pledge.

"I decided, before I ended up dead or a burned-out bar star, that I wanted to do something with my life."

He went to school in Detroit and familiarized himself with the harmonica, mandolin, guitar, bass, and keyboard.

After playing two original blues songs in Nashville and selling two CDs, Bolton found an atmosphere to fit his musical style.

In shiny leather pants and a cowboy hat, he would play two weekend shows 500 miles from his home, after promoting the gigs for three weeks around Detroit.

His solo style, "an eclectic mix of country rock, southern rock and blues rock," is displayed on his two self-written and produced albums -- "No Water Required," and "Don't Let the Hat Fool Ya," -- but more prevalently on stage.

Bolton played guitar for the companies Fernandes Guitars and Pintech Electronic Percussion, at NAMM 2005 in Anaheim, Calif.

The event is a large non-consumer show for musical instruments, and the site of major product launches, sales meetings and networking for upcoming musicians.

"It was great because there were 50,000 people there and I played four shows," he said, adding that the event allowed him to shake hands with Steven Seagal, Carlos Santana and Stevie Wonder.

"It's surreal when you meet people you've been seeing in films all your life," Bolton said. "I really feel I have more in common with them than I would have thought."

He said the famous celebrities may have "more exposure and more financial success -- but they're just people."

Bolton is confident that he will enjoy similar prestige.

"I believe that success is definitely in my cards. I'm already headed in that direction."

Until he's dealt the million dollar hand, Bolton wants his "thousands of fans" who attended The Push Band shows to know what became of the long
