cherri writes  Cherri & The Violators new CD, entitled First Offense, was released on January 10th at GT’s Billiards in Traverse City. The party started at 9:30 PM.
First Offense contains ten tracks, eight of which are original. Cherri's lyrics are ripe with puns, witty rhymes, and sexual innuendo. From Crud’s sexy industrial grind to Molly’s power punk, our hometown heroes are receiving massive exposure with television audiences. Molly’s single “Punk Rock Girl” was prominently spotlighted in the season premiere of MTV’s “The Real World San Diego.” The song is culled from the band’s acclaimed full length “The Finger” on Idol Records. The formerly Seattle-based guitarist has performed with Soundgarden, Nancy Wilson of HEART, JB&Co. and has rubbed elbows with Geoff Tate of Queensryche, Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam. Dave has perfomed all over the world in the last 10 yrs, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Phillipines, Australia, and more.
