Save The Vegetables V Saturday August 7th
YES, Ladies and Germs!!! The time has come for us to once again gather in the fight to defend innocent carrots and beets who've been persecuted for decades in order to preserve the lives of livestock and mammals everywhere!!! Open the gates, SAVE THE VEGETABLES V IS HERE!!!! We are sick and tired of people whining and complaining about the fate of cows, chickens and other mammals who are slaughtered on a daily basis in order to feed the good people of the world. What about the Vegetables??? How do they feel, being singled out for consumption by the masses?? Carrots are cute!!! Kill a lamb, today!!! STV V is one bad mamma jamma of a BBQ that will go down in history as one of the most bad-ass, raucous hootenannies ever to grace the city of DETROIT!!!!! With performances by DOWNTOWN BROWN, RUBBER MILK ORCHESTRA, THE AMINO ACIDS, MAN, THE QUESTIONS, THE JOLLYS, BUMP N UGLIES, EVEN THE ODD, THE SODS, THE KOFFIN KATS and as some backyard wrestling action from the DMF, Save The Vegetables V is gonna' be one of the most brutal, NOT-TO-BE MISSED EVENTS OF THE YEAR!!!!

It all goes down on SATURDAY AUGUST 7th at the DETROIT CONTEMPORARY. The show begins at 4:00 PM. 18+ are welcome. Beer is included with the $10 presale or the $15 door charge.

For more info, hit up the DATES section. For $10 presales for STV V, email info@dtbmusic.com or visit www.dtbmusic.com.

Structural Damage Member Change and Kick-Ass Party
damaged_32000 writes
Structural Damage, a South West Michigan based band, has changed members.  New members are; Wade Shannon On Vocals, Jim Antisdel On Lead Guitar and Shawn Ricketts on Bass.  The new members join SD veterans George Ricketts on Drums and Steph Klish on lead guitar.

You can get a peak at the new line up August, 13th and 14th at the KickStand & Lil' Kickers 8th Annual Party.  According to Don and Char's website this will be their last KickStand party, an annual event that hosts about 500 bikers each year.  They want to get a little riding in and a party of this magnitude does require a lot of planning.  The party is open to the public.  Bring your bike, but they advise you leave your pets and guns at home for a no-hassle weekend of camping and music.  This year's party features 6 bands in addition to Structural Damage.

Visit the Structural damage website for more details & up and coming concerts and shows.

Eyeshow on WRIF's Motor City Riffs
eyeshow writes
Unless you've been under a mushroom like Eyeshow has for a while, chances are you've probably heard of the Motor City Riffs show on 101. Either way, be sure to tune in this Sunday at 10pm to hear some new stuff from the band, listen to the guys be narcissistic, and hear your favorite Eyeshow oldies.

Eyeshow created their first disc, Openings, in November of 2003, endured a singer change, and is currently recording vocals over new material. So tune in, and if you happen to like what you hear, let Tim know... you just might receive a new disc for free!

NOTE: You can read Mitch's review of Eyeshow's CD Here.

Ralston Will Return to Boston's Club Passim
ralston writes After a successful debut in Boston over Memorial Day Weekend, Grand Rapids singer/songwriter Ralston will be returning for the Labor Day edition of Club Passim's Cutting Edge of the Campfire where for more than 40 years it has been a vital cornerstone in the arts community of New England, fostering both performers and audiences alike. The place to play in the 60's as a folk musician; being even more influential than clubs in New York and Berkeley.

Club Passim still remains today the premier club to play in New England. Located just off Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts next to chef Didi Emmon's restaurant Veggie Planet. And it was here that a friend of then unknown 17-year-old Joan Baez rented the club out just to get her on stage. Baez quickly built a worshipful following and became a regular feature. Here, she introduced Bob Dylan who played between acts. This past Memorial Day Weekend was the 6th annual Cutting Edge of the Campfire Festival where Grand Rapids singer songwriter Ralston was selected to be among 100 new and established artists to perform.
