sonicdisturbance writes I guess you are wondering why someone is submitting a review of a bunch of Electronic Acts? The answer: If I don’t, who will? So, Friday 10/24/03 I do a set at the 3rd Annual Transmissions of Binary Sound Codes Festival at The Detroit Contemporary. I want to stay to check out the other Friday Acts of the Two-Day Festival, but I got Tickets to the Motor Reunion, so I pack my stuff and split. . . Click "Read More" below.

Several hundred people came out for the Detroit TourBaby (www.tourbaby.com) show at the BullFrog to celebrate music, life, and to party! For the Detroit show, we teamed up with the Muscular Dystrophy Association to raise funds for Tom Prim, a 16 year old who has MD. Tom was there with his family and friends and signed the TourBaby "Baby" as part of our celebration.

| Impalerfest Day Two Show Review |

The Old Miami
So I load up my car and get ready to do my thing at Impalerfest. I want to get there early, set up my stuff, since I go on second, and then soak in the rest of the acts until my energy runs out. Here is where the pleasant surprise comes; I stayed from start to finish.
DJ Rick Kicked off the Second Day of Impalerfest with Southwest Detroit Hip-Hop that is One Part
Run-DMC, One Part Kid Rock and One Part Nelly, but all DJ Rick. Solid Flowing Rhymes and a Good Mix of Rock and Hip-Hop Styles.
The Old Miami was almost sounding like an MTV Beach House.

| Tangerine Trousers CD Release Concert |

ttrousers writes

The Ark - Ann Arbor, MI
Tangerine Trousers wowed the nearly packed house at The Ark for their CD release party. Their newly released CD "Dressed For Success" shows a major step in songwriting and production for the band. It is a fantastic listen.
That being said, you don't know the Trousers until you have seen them live. On this particular night, all members of the band carried an air of confidence that is rarely seen in live shows. Each member of the Tangerine Trousers is a gifted musician and showman (or showgirl...no wait that's not right...sorry, CJ!). The live Tangerine Trouser experience gives you solid musicianship, but they feed off of each other in a way that is so much fun to watch. They have fun on-stage which in turn gets the audience caught up in the whole deal.

| The Ballistics 13 @ Brandy's |
|
wiki writes
Saturday June 21st I went down state to my old stompin' grounds in St. Clair Shores, MI to see
a couple of bands at Brandy's on 9 mile and Harper. I was late getting to the show of course because I was playing in my band
"Bruno's Brawlers" for a block party with fire works at
Roseville High school, and I got stuck in traffic till around 11:18 PM. So I completely missed the first band
"Manics Rage".
I ended up catching "Motorwhore"
up on stage playing their last 4 songs when I walked in the bar and they were
tearin' shit up as usual in the way that only Stevie T Ford can do! I
would of normally been pretty bummed out if I missed half of Motorwhore's
show because they are such a cool band to watch, but fortunately earlier in the
day I stopped over Stevie T Ford's house and caught the whole band there
practicing for the show.

| Review: Mango Pie @ The Arena 1-25-03 |
|
review by Kat
In my search for local hard rock, another visit to The Arena in Highland (Milford Rd. N of M59) resulted in an excellent surprise. Mango Pie gets my vote for best party band of the year so far. An excellent selection
of covers and originals kept the crowd going till well past 2am. This is no small feat for the Arena where the normal crowd of local transients that drift in and out rarely exceeds 20 people at a time. But on Saturday, everyone who wandered in stayed and became riveted like my companion and I. And the drinks were flowing . . .
