 Cobalt Party Revolution on E! Entertainment Television!
cashtill writes "Check this!! The Cobalt Party Revolution's amped-up version of "keep your receipt" has been selected to be the theme song for E! Entertainment Network's 5-part series 101 favorite stars from way back when". Hear the song as the show begins and transitions through commercial breaks. It's been playing throughout this month but see the series in it's entirety on Saturday, March 3rd at noon.

 PBS to Feature Detroit Bands on Rock & Roll Safari
If you read Rachael May's column in The Free Press last week, you already know that Detroit Public Television will be airing Rock & Roll Safari, a weekly hour-long show that will feature live concert footage and interviews of Detroit area bands in the coming weeks. The series was created by James McGovern and Greg Sharrow of Can You Hear Me TV who hope to "redefine the method to which breakout musical genius makes its way to the eyes and ears of mainstream entertainment."

 Michigan Legislature Bans Imposter Groups
The Michgan legislature has passed a bill designed to prevent imposter musical groups from profiting from famous names of the past, according to MichiganVotes.com. Introduced by Senator Martha G. Scott (D-Highland Park), Senate Bill 1125 amends the Michigan Consumer Protection Act to prohibit imposter groups from performing as established musical groups when there are no original members performing on stage.  Structural Damage New Metal - Demons
damaged_32000 writes "Structural Damage is still in the studio finishing up the new CD, but samples of Demons and Blade Of Steel are now available at the official S.D. website. The tracks will be included on S.D.'s forthcoming release, "Out For Blood" which will be available for purchase on the website later this year.

If you're into power-metal, you'll want some that can do Structural Damage at high volumes.

 Crud's ''Raunch and Roll'' Hits St. Andrew's Hall on September 30!
Detroit- Real Detroit Weekly, Monster Energy, Lucky Monkey Tattoo and Ambervillian films present a night of "Raunch and Roll" with live music by electro charged rockers Crud on Saturday, September 30 at St. Andrew's Hall.

The action packed show will also feature performances by The Koffin Kats, Zug Izland and Project Gift. In addition to the "roll" there will be plenty of "raunch" with debauchery by The Gepetto Files, entertainment by burlesque troupe Hells Belles, a preview of the film SPAGTEAZE, and an appearance by the Detroit Derby Girls. DJ Top Kat spins throughout the night. Acclaimed poster artist NIX will also be on hand exhibiting his edgy collection of rock posters.
