Bogdon Box on Bass Player TV
Chris Badynee's Bogdon Box Bass has been making its rounds and this time has landed on the virtual doorstep of Bass Player TV,  the net extension of Bass Player Magazine which recently featured the Bogdon in its "New Gear" section.  Managing editor Greg Olwell takes the Bogdon Box out for a slow shufffle just to see if this cardboard upright really has the goods.  There are three videos available on the site including "Construction" in which he walks you through the steps necessary to create the cardboard bass; "Materials" which points out the various features of the bass, including its "weed-wacker line" strings and double-sided taped inducer pick-up, and "Demo", where you get to see the bass in action.

Detroit's Crud Featured on CSI episode on Thursday, November 15
Detroit rock band Crud will be spotlighted on one of television's most popular crime dramas -- "CSI," this Thursday, November 15 on CBS.  The episode will feature Crud's song "Assume the Position" during a flashback scene where two CSI colleagues are engaged in hot physical relations.

This is the third "CSI" episode highlighting Crud's music.  In recent months, Crud's music has been featured on dozens of national shows airing on MTV, Spike TV, E!, VH1 and more.  The band recently returned from a successful tour of the UK, and will be headlining a New Year's Eve event at the Magic Stick in Detroit.

Crud's songs as featured on CSI are on the band's debut CD "Devil at the Wheel" now available on Full Effect Records.  For more information on Crud and their music, hit myspace.com/cruddetroit and fulleffectrecords.com

 Private Messages Error Fixed
We recently moved MB to a new server and a few bugs have surfaced. One of them caused an error when accessing private messages. The problem only affected those that had reset their time zone from the default.

I would like to thank "Max Effort" for bringing this to our attention so the problem could be resolved.

This problem has been fixed. You should reset the timezone in your Private Messages profile to the correct time.

Click Read More for instructions on how to set the time zone for Private Messages.

 MBlurbs: Aug 15th 2007
Since we rarely mix sex with our drugs and rock & roll around here, we'd thought we'd shake things up a bit for Dream Cruise Week 2007 with runway models in every flavor. So this months first installment of MBlurbs will feature stories about Blondes, Brunettes and Redheads, including: a giant blonde who proves she won't "go down" without a fight (Nudge, Nudge, wink, wink, know whatta' mean? Say no more.); a sassy brunette who insists she can teach you a thing or two about "making music" (Right, MAKING MUSIC, very good, say no more.); and finally, a fiesty redhead who spends a lot of time in the bathroom and even more with a "golden statue"(Oooh! Ya wicked Ay! Oooh hooh! Say No MORE) Intrigued you nasty bandhead?

 MBlurbs: July 4, 2007
Welcome to another edition of MBlurbs. This time we catch up with Radiocraft at the Stars & Stripes fest in Mt. Clemens, just in time for tear-down. Ronnie gives me the 311 on Joey Bowen's return from the left-coast and the General Clusterfunk reunion. Jay informs us that it's a Blind Shame that band doesn't exist anymore, but three-fifths of a broken-ass band make for a Bulletproof Moxie.
