Random Acts of Music: DMA 2003
OK, just because we've won the war doesn't mean your really safe - at least not from Michiganbands.com Random Acts of Music. We're still targeting members of the unsuspecting public with free CD's and proselytizing for independent music. In this particular R.A.M. incident, we preach to the choir and reward a few attendees at the 2003 Detroit Music Awards. But don't get too comfortable in your post-war jubilation, you're still considered a viable target for our continuing mission to spread the music.

Mulch welcomes new singer and bass player
mulch writes "Michigan death metal band Mulch has recently obtained a new singer front man Brian Forgue. Brian Has taken over lead singer duty from drummer Mike Reseigh who will be doing back ups and focusing on new material. Mulch also welcomes New bass player Kevin Carron. Kevin replaces Mulch's longtime bassplayer Ron Hill (best known for his role in gangster fun). Ron respectfully retired from the Mulch and there were no hard feelings. Ron is now persuing other interests and filling in for a friend's band project. Mulch is currently writing new material for a full length album. The 4 song demo they recorded is available for download at Mulch"

 Band Links Updates

We've just added two new blocks to the MB front page in a effort to level the playing field a bit.

In addition to the block that listed the band sites with the most total votes, we've now added the highest rated sites on a scale of 1 to 10 and the newest additions to the band link system.

We also cleaned out the votes to date. We will be doing this on a monthly basis so that every one has an equal chance.

 2003 DMA Winners
We'll be posting more details about our experience at the 2003 Detroit Music Awards, but for the purpose of convenience Click Here for a list of the winners. Our congratulations and respect go out to all those who took home glass spires this year, but particularly to Tom and Sue Ness of JAM RAG magazine for their much deserved distinguished achievement award. We're humbled by your good-natured, selfless dedication to both local music and independent political thought.
