| What Happened In Vegas Prime St. Andrews For Never Shout Never |
Took my daughter and a friend down to St. Andrews Hall on the 29th to see Never Shout Never (managing to score an autographed shirt from Christopher Drew - I thought Emily was going to faint when she saw it) and caught the opening set of local boys What Happened In Vegas (Warren, MI) who primed the sold-out house, composed mostly of teenage girls and their parents who waited patiently in the back of the room. The boys were lavished with post-performance attention, snapping pics and autographing swag for the freshly pubescent nubiles who swore a blood-oath to follow them to their gig at The Oakland Mall food court on January 14th, 2010. But the teen set aren't the only ones who are supporting the band...(click "read more" below)

She sang her first song in church where her father was pastor at age 5. It was during prayer the congregation was moaning the song "Guide Me , Oh Thou Great Jehovah" and she stood up and belted out the second verse (I am weak but thine art strong). Since then she was encouraged by family and friends to sing anytime she could, so she did. | Deuling Pianos Added To Band Link Specialties |
About ten years ago I helped a friend move out to Phoenix and we went clubbing one night - at the mall. That's right; the mall in Phoenix had three or four night clubs located side-by-side-by-side on the second floor. You could walk from one club to the next through an opening in the wall on the far side of each bar. The odd thing was, once you stepped from one club to the next, you were immersed in the music of the club you were in and could no longer hear the music of the one you left. Well, once we had our fill of techno & rock, we ended up at a club with deuling piano players. It was, surprisingly, very entertaining. Back then it was a new phenom but now they're everywhere. But as our latest submission in the newly created Cover Bands / Specialties / Dueling Pianos sub-category warns, not all deuling piano shows are created equal.
Before you make that critical decision about fighting ivories, click "read more" below for links to The Funkeys and Dueling Pianos International.

The agency specializes in handling corporate events and special productions as well as representing bands who perform weddings, civic events, society fundraisers and more. | Jealousy Inspires Action: Ryan Knott Commits To 12-Song Solo Release |
Inspired by the latest release from Grand Rapids experimental band Paucity and motivated by a period of writer's block, former Satin Jones guitarist and vocalist Ryan Knott has committed himself publicly to releasing a solo record by late 2010. But breaking writer's block can be a daunting task. To shake things up a bit, Knott chucked everything he knows about writing songs in favor of something a bit more ... prophetic.
