| New band voting system in the works |
|
Link voting has been temporarily taken down from the
front page while the system is revamped. Outside votes form band websites
will still work and be calculated. Look for the new "charts" in
the next couple of days.
Over the last week we have received several complaints about voting system
abuse. It is obvious that some are voting 1's for "their
competition" in an effort to improve their own position, even going to the extreme
of sending email to their followers to vote down another band. Nobody
gains by this kind of abuse and it virtually eliminates any usefulness of the
system.

| Now Playing ... Your Band! |
|
Quite some time ago, we posted a request on the
board for music submissions to be used for a music listening system. The
new system is still in the development stage, but looks very promising at this
point. One of the features allows for "playlists" that can be
created by visitors to this site and shared with everyone that drops by.
Click on the Play Tunes link in the Now Playing box on the right to test the
new streaming playlist.
We need your comments, especially if you experience any problems
listening to the music. You will need an mp3 player such as Winamp or
Windows Media player to listen.
Special thanks goes out to all who submitted music for us to
test the new system. Please no new submissions at this time.
