THE DISH w/ Big Sexy 4-3-04
bigsexysoundman writes Hey kids it's time for the good the bad and the ugly. Actually it's all good. Lets start this edition by talking about the Soul Driven WRIF showcase at the Hayloft on 3-27-04.Thanks to Soul Driven DAN and everyone who came out, it was almost a selllout. The lineup was stellar. Of course, I mixed all the bands. My good friends in Midgettown are starting to get some attention. They are really coming into their own. And a band called Hobbs Device, whom I had never caught before was kick ass. Nice to hear some good metal. Then came LAST who have really taken it to the next level. But the nite belonged to Soul Driven, who really sounded great and put on a high energy show.Keep your eyes on those guys. Now for the dish. . . Click "read more" below.

Cobalt Party Revolution Saves The Day - on Video!
Not only did they prevent MB Mitch from slipping into a deep depression early Saturday at Frogapalooza (he's a bit sensitive), but hip-hop saviours Cobalt Party Revolution captured the best moments of that mood-saving performance on video! Members Cashtill, KiddIckarus and McAction reminded everyone in the room with their lively and sometimes jocular performance that first and foremost, music should be fun and make you feel good. They earned some new fans that night. Click "Read More" for the appropriate links.

Note: (correction: apparently MCAction has retired from CPR. We should have given props to BMast.

Space Nelson: Making New Fans More Fun
Progressive rockers Space Nelson have discovered that literally making new fans is much more fun and much easier than attracting new fans with odd time signatures, complex arrangements and involved themes. Singer Jon Piasentin and Drummer Eric "Fish" Fischer took the initiative in implementing the new strategy in 2003 and it's finally paying off. Jon's wife gave birth to Jack Piasentin on Feb 16th, 2004 and Eric's wife gave birth to Lily Fischer on March 6th! Inspired by their success, keyboardist Pete Hopersberger has announced that his wife is due to deliver a new SN fan in July of 2004! (Note: picture not an actual SN fan)
