Michiganbands.com Welcomes Subgenius
Michiganbands.com would like to welcome Subgenius to our band links section in the original artists / hardcore & metal category.  Subgenius is a progressive funk/metal & hardcore four-piece from Ypsilanti, Mi (located in the butt of your Michigan mitten) who seek 'only to be taken seriously, while not taking (themselves) too seriously.'  The band specializes in 'peculiar, atonal dissonant silliness' and currently have two songs available on their MySpace page, "The Robotic Hymn of Doom" and "Tall Tales", the latter of which is also a video.  Wicked stuff.  Click "read more" below  for all the links.

Michiganbands.com Welcomes Detroit Culture Killers
Detroit Culture KillersMichiganbands.com would like to welcome our latest band link submission, Detroit Culture Killers, who describe themselves as a rock & blues band who do original versions of covers, some of which you can hear on their MySpace page. This Detroit-based quartet just released their debut CD entitled,"Livin' In The Big D" and claim they sound like a mix between James Brown and Stevie Ray Vaughn, with alcohol cited as a major influence. Do they really sound like James Brown?  Are they really from Detroit?  You can find out for yourself by following them home from Outriggers in Whitmore Lake on Saturday, February 2nd.

You can find DCK in our Original Artists/ Jam category of the band links section or just click "read more" below for the link.
