We are forming a music bomb for Michigan and I'm welcoming you all to join in and book at my bar. Our goal is to give the shows back to the bands and give the people some ass-kickin' music. If you are interested in a booking give me a call. We book Wed's through Sun.
Thankyou.

 Huge says ''Do Da Bump''!
Wouldn't it be cool if your CD could be used for bumper music on one of the hottest syndicated sports shows in Michigan? Here's your chance.  Huge (Bill Simonson) says, "Send me your CDs".

I was listening to the Huge Show today and Huge (Bill Simonson) was playing some tracks as bumper music of an indie band from GR.

Real Detroit Weekly the Music Show Tonight

Just a quick announcement.  Tune in to WADL 38 tonight at 11:30 for Real Detroit Weekly - The Music Show.

Michiganbands.com was at the pre launch party for "The Music Show" last night and met with Thomas McPhee, executive producer for the show.  Members of Tom's core team were on hand.  Mitch and Webmaster Rick got a preview of tonight's show while we listened to a Mariachi band that was at the Double Olive in Dearborn (long story, look for details once Mitch gets around to it).

The show is top notch and McPhee is defiantly positioning the program for success.

Visit the Cave Studio site to view a trailer of the show or to get local cable listings.  You wont want to miss this one.  Read more about the project on Real Detroit.

Oh No! I've written a country song!
Sooner or later it could happen to you. You're writing a song and it's a little more twangy than you'd like. So what do you do with all of that stuff that you can't use with your latest project? Well, here's one idea, how about submitting the tune to DetroitCountryMusic.Com and see what comes of it?

Sarah Klein's "Loose Lips" Sewn Shut
In a final tirade to distance herself from the very "scenester" culture she helped create, Metro Times columnist Sarah Klein included a poke at the Detroitmusic.com message board in her last hurrah for the Metro Times "Loose Lips" column. Click "Read More" for some fun.

 NSYNC's ambush Brothers Groove
According to Chris Codish of The Brother's Groove, teeny-dreamy N'SYNC dropped in to see the band at 5th Avenue Billiards in Royal Oak after their Monday concert at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Apparently, the boy-toy's tour-bus pulled up in front of the club half-way through the second set and. . .

 Bulk-Mail Inspiration
Occasionally a bulk-mail item gets read before being deleted and still more rarely, it's meaningful to your life. This unsolicited e-mail was forwarded to me by a dear friend who's had her share of major life challenges and has managed not only to move on, but succeed despite them. I don't know if this little story about Itzhak Perlman is true, but that really misses the whole point. I hope you find it inspirational or at least causes you to second-guess your self-pity.
