The second annual "Back Deck Acoustic Music Fest" will take place Sunday, July 29, from 2-10pm at the Driftwood Bar & Grill in Croton Township, Newaygo, Michigan.
The Detroit Electronic Music Festival will take place this memorial day weekend (May 26th, 27th & 28th) at Hart Plaza. This year's festival will feature performances by legendary Detroit artists Moodymann live featuring Pitch Black City; Model 500 featuring the godfather of Detroit Techno Juan Atkins; and Jeff Mills, the longtime hard hitting “wizard” of Detroit Techno. Detroit's premiere folk songstress Audra Kubat teams up with the city’s newest rising star the illustrious Silent Violet for a joint show at the legendary Cliff Bell’s Jazz Club on Sunday, May 27 at 9pm.
The two artists discovered each other at a gig, admired each other’s work and decided to do a show together. But they wanted a special venue to set it apart from their ordinary gigs and Cliff Bell’s was the ideal setting for this venture. 
Westland, MI - Freek Energy presents "Stinko De Mayo" - a rock and roll concert event featuring live music from Crud, The Universal Temple of Divine Power, Decibilt and Low As I. The show reunites two members of the acclaimed Detroit metal band Seduce in separate, but equally provocative rock projects. Seduce's guitar hero David Black contributes his blistering riffage to MTV darlings Crud's decadent rock assault. Chuck Burns, who serves as Seduces drummer, shines as a guitarist and co-vocalist with his southern rock influenced band, The Universal Temple of Divine Power. Click "read more" below.
The 6th Annual MCMF Acoustic Showcase will be held Tues April 10th at Memphis Smoke in Royal Oak. Twelve performers are lined up to take the stage beginning at 7 p.m. and running til midnight. After a fine Detroit debut performance at 313.jac/Jacoby’s earlier this year Toledo’s own POLKA FLOYD, “Pink Floyd done Polka style” tribute band makes a return show to the city on Saturday, April 28 at the Cadieux Café. POLKA FLOYD is the side project of native Detroiter Ken Haas who lends his guitar and vocals to this unique band. Starz were a major influence on us. These guys toured with all the rock and roll greats of the
greatest era of rock and roll. They were cheated of the superstar status they deserved, but
continue to kick ass and you will get a chance to see them live on Friday March 30th @ The
Token Lounge.
Variance Records is currently seeking artists to add to their roster. Currently, Variance represents "The Chesterfield Bridge", a rock group from south eastern Michigan, and is also currently in contract negotiations to add a 2nd artist to their roster.
