New Flipping the Pig songs on website!
|
fthep writes:
Flipping the Pig's new collection of free MP3s, titled "Giving it to Myself," is now available at
www.flippingthepig.com. Fake instruments galore (horns, strings, assorted other sounds, more horns) as well as several real ones (acoustic/electric guitars, etc.) abound on the 11 songs offered. The sound? Think Harry Nilsson after listening to a lot of late 80s/early 90s college music. Ranging from an uncomfortably-revealing oddball acoustic waltz to a sleepily crooned dirge to a bouncy piano-based pop song with decidedly peeved lyrics, the new songs are sure to please somebody. Maybe.

60 Second Crush will be opening for buzz heavy national act Abloom at St. Andrew’s Hall on Saturday, June 12. So far, over 800 bands from eight cities entered the music competition, vying for the title of “Zippo’s Hot Band”. Heavy crunching 60 Second Crush and local band

Cursed Eternity names new guitarist
|
XevKai writes:
18 year old Matt Trczinski from Howell will be playing lead guitars in the melodic metal band
Cursed Eternity.
Their website reports; "It was a hard decision. There were about 10 total guitarists who came out, or responded to the Lead guitarists adds. Everyone who had the balls to come out and tryout gave it their all. Matt was chosen because we felt that he would fit in best with the band. He's a phenomenal guitar player, and he's only 18!" Stated guitarist/vocalist Joe Grode. Matt will start playing live with CE right away. He's scheduled to play at the IROCK show next week, so be sure and come out to welcome him to the CE family!"
