 MB Welcomes Bad Canon
Michiganbands.com would like to welcome Bad Canon as the latest addition to our long, long list of local band links. Why? Because I really need a distraction right now and besides, BC had the very good taste to link back to us on their website before ever joining this fray. Thanks!
Now, all you musical geniuses out there know that a "canon", despite common knowledge, is not a large phallus that hurls iron balls, but rather....

Push Til-It-Hurtz now available on CD
shotgunbolton writes This little band from Taylor called PUSH was founded by its drummer, Terry Lee Bolton. No one ever thought that 20 Years later they'd still be hailed by fans as one of the greatest bands in the 80'S Detroit music scene. These guy's set the standard for how a tight, professional band should sound and perform - and they weren't shy about saying it.

 Random Reviews: Crazy Flying Giants
Crazy Flying Giants have been around the block a few times and it's good to see they're still out there causing trouble. They're currently peddling two releases at their very cool flash animation website, "Scream To The Universe" and "Dangerous World" and there's thirteen song samples to give you a real good idea what this three-headed monster (Mike Todd, Paul Polonski & Danny Ragon) spews on the unsuspecting townfolk. With titles like "Crack Whore", "Pimp Daddy Ride" and "Your Ass Is Mine" - is there really any doubt? Click "read more" for the link.

White Stripes interview on NPR's ''Fresh Air''
If you're still interested in the continuing adventures of Jack & Meg and The White Stripes , you should listen to Terry Gross' extensive interview on "Fresh Air" at the NPR website. Jack & Meg talk about their new record, their humble beginnings, and much more (45 minutes in all). Includes some song samples (including a cool duet with Loretta Lynne) and the admission that, in the beginning, the 'attitude in Detroit' didn't seem conducive to success in the music business. Go figure. Click "read more" for the the link.
