It's summertime again so get out of the basement, garage or woodshed and get some fresh air! What better way to enjoy the outdoors than to go on a treasure hunt for some local music? If you're hip to the technology, you know that geocaching is like treasure hunting using a handheld GPS (global positioning system). It's good, clean, healthy fun for the whole family and especially for those bandmates of yours with the beer-light tans. So get 'em outside and go find some local music. | Random Reviews: MB Welcomes ''The Vibe'' |
Michganbands.com would like to welcome The Vibe - and the pack mule they rode in on. Actually, "Pack Mule" is a little number you can download if you visit The Vibe's music page on their website. It's fresh, it's funky, it'll make you wanna cut a rug in your memorial-weekend jammies. Founded in March of 2003, this quartet have reportedly just released their debut record, entitled Vignettes. They'll be touring extensively in Wisconsin in 2005 (which makes me wonder about their MI status) but they're coming to Traverse City, Houghton, Lansing and Dearborn too, so who's gonna snitch? Click "read more" below for links to dig The Vibe.

| Music Review: The Bomb Pops ''Things They Say'' |
From the "better-late-than-never" section, Mitch Phillips dusts off the old CD pile and comes out with The Bomb Pops 2002 release, "Things They Say" which features six tracks of pogo punching pop that'll make you wanna tear your t-shirt, dye your hair green and stick a safety-pin through your nose. Clocking in at a total of 13.6 minutes, this CD, unlike Mitch, wastes no time in getting to the point. Click "read more" below for the review.

| Survey: Who would you rather have rate your performance? |
Since the entire country is on the edge of their seat tonight waiting to find out who the next American Idol will be, I wondered how my favorite bands might fare in front of the dynamic trio - Paula, Randy and the infamous Simon Cowell. If you had to choose, who would you rather rate your performance in front of a national audience?
