John Ludi is the latest persona of a local music veteran whose spent better than twenty years creating music both with bands such as "Pliny The Elder" and "Soft War" and as a solo artist. After returning to Michigan three years ago, battered and bruised from a soul-searching trek across America, John Ludi turned his thoughts inward and began his latest, and perhaps greatest work, entitled "Rise Above or Fall Below". DETROIT, MI - June 9th, 2005 - In a competition that spanned six months and featured 128 Detroit bands, Catalog Only was chosen as Detroit's runner-up, behind local favorites Natives of the New Dawn. Sandwiched in the final standings between Catalog Only and Natives of the New Dawn were Woke Up in Vegas, Buffalo, NY’s sole representative. As Regional Champion, Natives of the New Dawn will represent Detroit at the National Finals in Boston. Click "read more" below.
