| Celebrating 15 years of making music |
|
superpenguin79 writes Do you ever get to that point in your life where you think to yourself about what you have done with your music? I, Charlie Naebeck, have cleaned out my musical archives and was thinking just that. After 15 years of playing in various bands, working A&R, IT, Marketing, and writing songs, its still all about the music. I have decided to release 15 years of music that I have worked on on his site. You can download it all for FREE and give it a listen.

Michigan
Bands now has a MySpace
page thanks to Matt and Andy. Their MySpace site has been around for a while and
I decided to contact them about linking our two sites up since we have a common
name and purpose. I'm happy to say that they liked the idea. This is a good deal
for both sites since MB doesn't have the resources to manage a MySpace site in
addition to this one. The two sites will operate independently with Matt and
Andy handling everything MySpace and Mitch and I doing our damage over here.
As you know MySpace can be a great place to meet people and make some friends,
but it is also a great place for bands and fans to network. Andy and Matt have
done their home work and now have almost 1,600 friends in their network.
I would encourage any Michigan based bands to visit the "New" MichiganBands
MySpace page and get signed up as a friend in their network.

| Holy Fire Sign With The Milita Group |
|
Detroit, MI – Edgy, aggressive indie rock act The Holy Fire, described by Detroit Metro Times as "In between Afghan Whigs murder epics and Jeff Buckley melodrama,” sign with independent label The Militia Group. Drawing forth angular, driving rhythms, accompanied by passion and melody, The Holy Fire are quickened by improvisation, anti-social vigor, beauty, and even paranoia. The Holy Fire have recently toured with The Constantines, and have also played with fellow enigmatic indie rockers Mclusky and TV On The Radio. Click "read more" below.

| New Flipping the Pig Album |
|
fthep writes The new Flipping The Pig album, Pout, was released on January 2, 2006. There are three MP3s available on the band's website (www.flippingthepig.com): the melancholy piano-based "Break," the dreamy acoustic pop of "Don't Dry Your Eyes," and the stripped-down power chord rant of the much-louder-than-the-other-two-mp3s "Pleeeeease." The music is a mix of vaudeville, brooding acoustic numbers, power pop, wry humor, reflection, folk, oddities, art-rock leanings, and whatever else this one-man-band feels like creating. He's stone-cold sober, but you’d swear he was drunk at least some of the time.

| Silent Aggression is back |
|
silentaggression writes Silent Aggression has undergone a huge line-up change. The new band is getting ready to start playing out again. The band has changed 3 members ; Silent aggression has a new guitarist, a new drummer, and the old drummer now is playing bass. The new band has worked real hard to get the material down, and is stronger than ever. There is a show scheduled for January 14 at the Trolley Stop in Taylor. This is going to be the first show with the new lineup. We are expecting a great turnout.
