 FLEDfive finish mixdown on new CD
fledfive writes FLEDfive, West Michigan's own eight-year hard rock success story, have finished mixing their fourth full-length CD, tentatively self-titled.
The release of this album will be marked by a concert April 21 2006 at the Orbit Room in Grand Rapids, host to recent sellouts by Fallout Boy and Avenged Sevenfold. Support acts will include Pop Evil, Creepermode and Superman Package. Click "read more" below.

 New Sponsor Joins 2006 Great Lakes Songwriting Contest
MichSongs writes Songbridge of Ontario, Canada, has announced its sponsorship of the 2006 Great Lakes Songwriting Contest.

“It’s a natural partnership, as together both companies honor and promote the best songwriters in the US and Canada,” says contest spokesperson Cindy Felton. “Songbridge is a wonderful resource for songwriters looking for opportunities to market their material in both countries.”

Songbridge provides its songwriting members with a weekly “pitch sheet,” full of ads for songs wanted in all genres. The ads are posted by artists, producers, labels, and artists’ management from across the US and Canada. Songbridge also offers industry news and information, association links, festival links, collaboration opportunities, as well as tips and insights on songwriting from premier songwriters.  Monroe Street Fair Fundraiser @ Churchill's in Flint
groundscoreadmin writes Come out and see Jam Samich, Glowb and Ground Score as they raise money for the Monroe Street Fair. The Concert is at Churchill's in Flint on Saturday March 4th with the music starting around 10PM. All proceeds from the concert go to benifit the Fair which is held on the first Saturday of April every year in front of Casa Dominick's in Ann Arbor.
