jammindude writes We've thought long and hard about this and we've decided that we're going to take that big step and play another show...

We'll be playing just down the street from our studio at the New Way Bar in Ferndale, Friday May 26th. This will be our first show with our new drummer Todd Shanahan and we plan to break in a few new tunes that is sure to get your blood boiling!

If you want to drink away the stress of a long week or simply feel like checking out a few good bands... then save the day,Friday May 26th!!! Listen up, we're unick and we'll be looking for you! Rebel Devil,Flatbroke and No Regrets also playing.

 Sound of Michigan Talent Contest
bsam writes Sound of Michigan will be holding a talent contest in Midland, Michigan at the park by the Tridge. The contest is open to artist and bands from all over Michigan. Bands will compete on six dates between July 9th and August 20th. The Prize for the winner is a recording contract with Sound of Michigan and a chance to take part in a pilot for a television reality show. Click "read more" below.

 Detroitmusic.com Back Online - Making More Sense Than Ever
The DetroitMusic.com message board has been back online since March 3rd, 2006. The site was taken down a couple years ago due to the bad behavior of some of its more unruly members. DMDC was originally created to offer the local music community a convenient place to network, but instead became a magnet for internet trolls and flamers whose offensive and sometimes threatening posts made moderating the chaos more trouble than it was worth. Detroit - Punkcore Records rebels The Warning will release their long-awaited debut "All Systems Dead". The CD features 12 tracks of genuine ear-bashing, teeth-gnashing Detroit punk rawk from some hardcore veterans and is now available for preview and pre-order at www.punkcore.com. The official CD release party is set for Saturday, May 13th at Toledo's Masonic Temple. This will be an all ages show with a full bar, according to their website.
