 PBS to Feature Detroit Bands on Rock & Roll Safari
If you read Rachael May's column in The Free Press last week, you already know that Detroit Public Television will be airing Rock & Roll Safari, a weekly hour-long show that will feature live concert footage and interviews of Detroit area bands in the coming weeks. The series was created by James McGovern and Greg Sharrow of Can You Hear Me TV who hope to "redefine the method to which breakout musical genius makes its way to the eyes and ears of mainstream entertainment."

 Michigan Legislature Bans Imposter Groups
The Michgan legislature has passed a bill designed to prevent imposter musical groups from profiting from famous names of the past, according to MichiganVotes.com. Introduced by Senator Martha G. Scott (D-Highland Park), Senate Bill 1125 amends the Michigan Consumer Protection Act to prohibit imposter groups from performing as established musical groups when there are no original members performing on stage.  STIT is
ace924 writes STIT was originally formed in 1989. They had a pending deal with CBS that unfortunatly fell through. They played the Bar Scene till 1991 and eventually called it quits. In the spring of 2006, STIT was discovered by RETROSPECT RECORDS out of Las Vegas off a local website thanks to a good friend Dave Hess. RETROSPECT wanted to release a 1990 recording. But instead they decided to reform and record some never performed or recorded songs they had written. With that they have produced, STIT, "BACKWARDS". Click "read more" below.
