Jingle Bell Jam 2006: Slots Still Open, Donations Needed
cherri writes The first Saturday in December is the Manistee Victorian Christmas celebration. The Jingle Bell Jam has been part of the festivities for the last four years. We (Cherri & The Violators) work with local social organizations, radio stations, the chamber, and other volunteers to put on a big shindig in Manistee. This year there will be five bands, food, a silent auction, and cash bar.
If your band would like to volunteer for a slot, please let me know ASAP! If you can't make it, perhaps you'd like to donate a CD or swag for the silent auction?

Structural Damage New Metal - Demons
damaged_32000 writes Structural Damage is still in the studio finishing up the new CD, but samples of Demons and Blade Of Steel are now available at the official S.D. website. The tracks will be included on S.D.'s forthcoming release, "Out For Blood" which will be available for purchase on the website later this year.

If you're into power-metal, you'll want some that can do Structural Damage at high volumes.

Badynee's Bogdon Bass Takes World By Storm
About three months ago, Chris Badynee's cardboard bass made it's worldwide debut on YouTube and a half-dozen other sites including here at MB. Frustrated with his one-stringed WashTub bass, Chris created a two-stringed version made with a cardboard box and leftover construction materials from his new home. Add a few trips to the local electronics and hardware stores, some Gorilla Glue and voila!

The Bogdon Box (as it's now known) is taking the world by storm and has already attracted the attention of Good Morning America, and at least one major nationally touring Country act here in the U.S.

 Free Downloads, Good and Evil!
superpenguin79 writes Well, I'm back at it again - pushing the envelope with two new records due out in October that I'm calling Good And Evil.

The first is titled "Acoustic Uncut Vol. 1" which features acoustic guitar melodies for your relaxation. The second is titled "Dollar Store Squirt Gun". It's more of an upbeat, punch-you-in-the-face, electronica record showcasing experimental grooves and ambience.
